Central Avenue, Avonmouth

Hathaway delivered the complete roofing and wall cladding package for a major new 36,000m² logistics facility at Axis Works, Avonmouth, supporting the future of M&S’s national food distribution network.

Working alongside Winvic Construction Ltd and in close collaboration with Euroclad Group, Hathaway delivered the building envelope for Stoford Developments’ new high-specification distribution facility at Axis Works, Avonmouth.

The project combines a substantial 33,200m² Euroclad Elite 1 PLUS roof system with approximately 16,100m² of wall cladding, incorporating Euroclad twin-skin systems and Kingspan composite panels. Hathaway led the coordination, installation sequencing and on-site delivery of the envelope package, working closely with the wider project team to maintain quality, safety and programme requirements.

Sustainability was embedded throughout the delivery, with electric vehicle deliveries used to transport materials from Euroclad’s Cardiff manufacturing facility to site, alongside HVO fuel for site plant and machinery and a pallet return scheme to reduce timber waste. The development is targeting BREEAM Excellent and EPC A, with further measures including photovoltaic panels and rainwater harvesting.
