The purpose-built facility forms an important part of MBDA’s UK manufacturing operations, supporting the production and assembly of complex weapon systems including Brimstone, ASRAAM, Sea Ceptor and Meteor.
Hathaway delivered a comprehensive roofing and wall cladding package, combining Kingspan insulated composite panel systems with architectural micro-rib cladding, polycarbonate rooflights and wall-lights, insulated rainwater gutters and associated flashings and detailing. The specification incorporated different panel profiles, orientations and finishes across the elevations, together with enhanced thermal and fire-performance requirements appropriate to this major defence manufacturing facility.
