Hathaway were appointed to deliver the external envelope package for Unit 9 at SmartParc Derby, a 430,000 sq ft frozen food production and logistics facility for Greggs.
Designed to support Greggs’ continued UK expansion, the purpose-built facility combines advanced manufacturing, automated logistics and sustainable design. Hathaway supplied and installed high-performance Kingspan insulated roof and wall cladding systems, delivering a durable, thermally efficient external envelope to meet the demanding requirements of a modern food manufacturing environment.
The development forms part of the pioneering SmartParc Derby campus and incorporates a shared Energy Centre, rooftop photovoltaic panels, rainwater harvesting and EV charging infrastructure, supporting the site’s ambition to become one of the UK’s leading low-carbon food manufacturing hubs.
