Our envelope solutions mirror the Governments sustainable construction strategy – Construction 25. Our focus is key growth in green construction, smart technologies and UK trade.

Through our forward thinking we are transforming the speed, cost and environmental impact of new buildings and aiming to achieve net zero carbon across our sites - everything we do aims to advance this ambition, with SAFETY FIRST.

Transport to site, minimising the impact on labour and plant are all careful considerations as we protect the environment in our planet passionate focus.

Where conceptual advice is given, we choose the best systems and design  based upon our supply chain’s cradle to grave concept, recyclable materials, EPD’s and systems which complement the use of sustainable concepts such as PVs , rooflights and  passive heating systems which are always our first choice in helping us achieve a carbon neutral business.

Safety

Over the years we have been instrumental in improving safety within the roofing sector and our commitment will not diminish.

This is evident from our head office and fabrication facility to our sites and from senior management to the operatives on the tools; safety is a core value and runs through all we do.

Working with the BSI we have held their certification in its various guises for several years, which has enabled us to develop, implement, monitor and review our processes to a high standard. Latterly, attaining the new H&S standard of 45001.

A strong ethos built on feedback and employee consultation is encouraged at every level, which is crucial to the continuous improvement process and developing workable solutions.

In addition to the BSI certification  our commitment to a strong health and safety belief has been recognised by the NFRC who have consistently awarded us the gold award in their national safety awards. In addition, we also hold accreditation to SAFEcontractor and Construction Line.

Our wish is to achieve an incident and injury free environment.

Quality

Meeting and managing the expectations of our clients and other stakeholders is of prime importance and together with the other corner stones Health, Safety and Sustainability, quality forms a core belief that runs through all we do.

Our quality systems have developed over many years from adopting the BS4891 standard in the 80’s right through to ISO9001(2015) held today. Over this time continuous improvement has been key, we are always striving to be better than we were yesterday. The established principals developed forms the basis for a code of conduct that extends to every single member of the Hathaway Team.

Today our ethos together with the integrated systems cover all aspects from initial project conception through design, manufacturing and installation. It is our aim to develop long term relationships with our clients and suppliers by always offering them a professional service and strong effective management.

We understand our staff and supply chain are integral to our success.

Health and Safety Manager, Hathaway Roofing

Whilst working with Hathaway as an independent consultant and now working directly for the Company as Health and Safety Manager of seven years, I am fortunate to have witnessed the company’s strategic Health & Safety vision from a unique perspective over a seventeen years period.

Hathaway’s commitment to the safety of their workforce and others is evident in what is an embedded and established culture; whilst work is undertaken in an industry where there exists a high hazard profile with safety being of paramount importance.

There is a positive and pro-active approach to safety within the office, factory and construction site environments, from the inception of projects through the design, pre-construction, manufacture and construction phases to the completion of a project and the commitment to setting and achieving continuing programmes of improvement has always been unwavering.

It is a pleasure to work with such a confident, dedicated and committed team of professionals where safety really is their number one priority.
