Babcock, Rosyth

Hathaway delivered the roof and wall cladding package for Babcock’s landmark Venturer Building at Rosyth Dockyard. A purpose-built assembly hall for the Royal Navy’s Type 31 frigate programme.

Completed in 2021, the approximately 98,100 sq ft facility provides a vast, fully enclosed environment capable of accommodating two frigates side-by-side for parallel assembly. Working for Robertson, Hathaway delivered the insulated roof and wall cladding systems, together with rooflights, rainwater goods, internal parapet cladding, access hatches and specialist detailing to the building’s large-scale openings and interfaces.
