Completed in 1997, the Reebok Stadium was developed as the new home of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, replacing the historic Burnden Park. Designed by Lobb Sports and constructed by Birse Stadia, the venue became renowned for its distinctive sweeping roof structure and contemporary architectural design.
Hathaway was responsible for extensive roofing and cladding works across the stadium’s four stands, incorporating profiled steel roof coverings, composite wall panels, internal cladding and soffit systems. The works included Plastisol-coated steel roofing, insulated composite panels and profiled metal cladding, alongside associated flashings, gutters and detailed interfaces. The package contributed to the stadium’s distinctive appearance and provided a durable external envelope for this landmark sporting venue.
