Delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic, the 150,000 sq ft facility formed a pivotal addition to the UK’s vaccine and life sciences infrastructure, designed to support advanced biologics and vaccine development and manufacturing.
Working with main contractor Glencar, Hathaway delivered the building envelope package incorporating Kingspan Topdek insulated single-ply roofing, Kingspan KS1000MR and KS1100 Karrier insulated wall panels, and Dri-Design aluminium rainscreen cladding. The works were delivered as part of an accelerated construction programme, responding to evolving project requirements and the exceptional national pressures of the pandemic.
