Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Designer to join our established Design Team

Role

  • Cladding designer position detailing roofing & cladding systems to include twin-skin, single ply & composite panel systems in value from £1 million to £15 Million
  • Produce 2D project specific working drawings and fabrication schedules
  • Liaise with project design team including main contractor, architects, steelworker and siphonic contractors
  • Attend in person & online design team meetings
  • Liaise with system manufacturers and suppliers
  • Liaise with internal departments
  • Support site installation teams with day-to-day queries
  • Scope to progress into a senior position

Experience

  • Proven design experience within the roofing and cladding sector
  • Be familiar with a range of building envelope systems such as twin skin, single ply and composite panel systems
  • Must have 2D AutoCAD experience
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Motivated, proactive and focus driven individual with attention to detail
  • Able to work as part of a team or solo on projects
  • Ability to work to deadlines with a flexible, proactive approach
  • ONC / HNC in construction or similar
