Today, over 1,200 bikers, including our site manager Tony Walton, aka Batman, set off from Durham, heading to Darlington with one shared mission: delivering Easter eggs to children spending the day in hospital.
As a business based in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, supporting local initiatives like this is something we’re really proud of.
This year, we’ve backed the Durham Easter Egg Run with both Easter eggs and a financial donation.
It’s an incredible community-led event that brings together riders from across the North East to create something genuinely special for children and families who need it most.
Alongside the egg deliveries across the region, funds raised will support a number of fantastic charities, including:
Northumbria Blood Bikes
Teenage Cancer Trust
Feeding Families (UK)
Stray Aid
MISSEDABEAT FOUNDATION
British Heart Foundation
Pet Angels Wearside
Shaw Trust
A huge credit to everyone involved. From the organisers, marshals, police, to every single rider taking part today
We hope the eggs, donations (and the roar of the bikes!) bring plenty of smiles this Easter.
Happy Easter from all at Hathaway.
