EMG Plot 5 is a large-scale industrial and logistics development delivered by Winvic Construction Ltd at East Midlands Gateway. Hathaway was appointed to undertake the design development, supply, and installation of the external building envelope, working in coordination with the principal contractor and wider project team.

Case Study
The roof construction comprises approximately 55,000m² of Euroclad Elite 1 built-up roofing system, installed in accordance with the project specification and relevant building regulations. The roof build-up incorporates 7,500m² of Hambleside site-assembled triple skin rooflights to achieve the required daylighting levels and support the project’s sustainability objectives.
External walling consists of 17,500m² of Euroclad Elite 55 built-up wall system, selected to meet the project’s thermal, durability, and fire performance requirements, and installed in line with the agreed fire strategy. Office accommodation was completed using 2,000m² of Kingspan Microrib architectural wall panels, providing a high-quality architectural finish while maintaining compliance with performance and regulatory requirements.
All works were delivered in accordance with manufacturer guidance, project specifications, and Winvic’s quality, health and safety, and sustainability standards, supporting the overall BREEAM objectives for the development.
