International Womens Day 2026

To mark hashtag International Womens Day and this year’s theme, “Give to Gain”, we ✨gave✨ some of the ladies from our head office the opportunity to visit our site in Leeds and ✨gain✨ a better understanding of how their roles support and contribute to the project taking shape on site.

A big thank you to Becky Farris, Sustainability Advisor at TSL, who welcomed the group and shared a presentation on TSL and some insightful statistics about hashtag#womeninconstruction. It was a great opportunity to highlight the important role women are playing across the industry and the progress still being made.

Following this, Wasiu and Ben from the TSL EHS team led us on a tour of the project, giving the group the opportunity to see the scale of the development first-hand, including a walk across the roof.

A big thank you also to Leigh Palmer, our Senior Operations Manager, who joined the tour and shared some great insight into the roof construction and how the system is put together.

Max Pickering, our trainee estimator, also joined us for his first site visit, which supports his training and development as part of his apprenticeship.

As part of the day, Becky and a small group from our team also visited Leeds Women's Aid’s Charity Shop to drop off donations for Leeds Women’s Refuge. Women’s Aid do vital work supporting women and families experiencing domestic abuse, providing safe accommodation and specialist support during incredibly difficult times. It was a small gesture, but one we hope will make a difference to those currently staying at the refuge.

Supporting the communities where we work is an important part of how we approach our projects, and it was great to combine learning, collaboration and community support in one visit.

A brilliant way to mark International Women’s Day — thank you to everyone involved in making it happen.
