Full Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Cladding Designer to join our established Design Team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical and project experience whilst working on industrial roofing and cladding projects typically valued between £1million and £15million.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the Design and Detailing of roofing and cladding systems including twin-skin, single ply
and composite panel systems.
· Produce project specific, 2D, working drawings and fabrication schedules
· Liaise with the project design team including the main contractors, architects, steelwork
contractors and siphonic drainage specialists.
· Attend design team meetings, both in person & online
· Coordinate with system manufacturers and suppliers
· Work closely with internal departments to support project delivery
· Provide day-to-day technical support to site installation teams
· Opportunity to progress into a Project Designer position as part of the company's long-term
growth plans
Experience and Skills Required:
· Must have a minimum of 4 years design experience within the roofing and cladding sector
· Must have a working knowledge of building envelope systems including twin skin, single ply and
composite panel systems
· Must be proficient in 2D AutoCAD
· Must be IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office
· Must be motivated, proactive and detail-oriented
· Must be able to work effectively as part of a team under the guidance of a Project Designer
· Must be capable of working to meet deadlines with a flexible, proactive approach
· Must have ONC / HNC in Construction or a related discipline
