We’re opening up a position within our Procurement Team. An ideal opportunity for a motivated Buyer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings ownership, precision and strong collaboration skills.
As a Buyer, you’ll play a key role in sourcing materials, working closely with suppliers and supporting our project teams to maintain the high standards our clients rely on. You’ll help ensure projects run smoothly through effective cost, quality and delivery management. Purpose of the role
To procure goods, plant materials and services to ensure that the company ,operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have experience of buying, preferably in the roofing and clad ding industry, however other industries will be considered for the right candidate as training will be provided.
Main functions
• Full control of the process from source to delivery
• Liaise with our suppliers for prices and delivery periods
• Working closely with the relevant management teams
• Financial elements to include the investigation of overspends against budgets and invoice queries.

• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Computer literate with strong I.T skills
• Numerically strong
• A keen drive for problem solving
• Strong communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise task and achieve set targets
• Be competent and work to deadlines
• Be conversant with marketplace specifications, general industry materials
Working Hours: 8.30am—4.45pm Mon to Thurs & Fri 08.30 to 12.30pm
