Social Events
Tindale Crescent Golf Society Championship
This years event was held recently at Richmond Golf Club.
In stark contrast to last year the weather was "challenging" to say the least. Despite this 20 hardy soles, including fair weather golfer Mark Watson, turned out for the honour of being this years champion.
The handicapping committee did an excellent job of ensuring that a new name appeared on the trophy. Kieran Liddle "stormed" to a 1 point victory from his handicap of 21.
Thanks to all who competed, lets hope for better weather next year.
A Day at the Races
The annual pilgrimage to York Racecourse took place on the 13th of June in support of the Timeform Charity Day.
With the weather set fair, the going good, and tipster Timms in bouyant mood all the omens were in place for a successful outing.
Unfortunately, despite an enjoyable day, the only winners were the bookies, again !
