Hathaway chosen to deliver vital 45m high bay subsea cable manufacturing facility by JDR Cable Systems and Galliford Try.
The system of choice for this project is the Kingspan Group composite solution which compliments the speed of the installation whilst supporting lower embodied carbon alternative builds – full length panels to the low bay areas have been designed specifically to reduce labour and improve air leakage.
Once complete, the 69,000m2 facility will include a new catenary continuous vulcanisation (CCV) line, making it the only facility in the UK capable of full start-to-finish manufacturing of high voltage subsea cables for offshore wind farms to support the growing global renewable energy market.
